NYSTA Rest Stop Renovation – Project Overview

MZ Construction is proud to have been a part of the ambitious New York State Thruway Authority’s (NYSTA) Rest Stop Redevelopment Project, an initiative to modernize and enhance service areas along the I-90 corridor. With ten rest stops completed or renovated, we delivered improved facilities for millions of travelers annually, focusing on quality, efficiency, and innovation. Each stop presented unique challenges, from preserving historic architectural elements to implementing advanced building technologies. By leveraging digital layouts, prefabrication methods, and a dedicated team, we ensured that every location exceeded expectations.

The NYSTA initiative sought to revitalize service areas with modern amenities, sustainable materials, and enhanced traveler experiences. MZ Construction’s contributions focused on updating infrastructure, improving functionality, and delivering aesthetically appealing environments, all while meeting tight deadlines and adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.
