MZ President Andy Zombek Assumes Leadership Role at Empire State Subcontractors Association

Congratulations to our President Andy Zombek as he begins his two year term as YOUR president. He is excited to serve the Empire State Subcontractors Association as an ally to all subcontractors in the great state of New York.

The primary purpose of ESSA is to provide advocacy on behalf of subcontractors in the New York State Legislature and before the State's various contracting agencies. ESSA is comprised of four affliliated subcontractor organizations located in Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and New York City, and represents the concerns and interests of more than 1,000 specialty trade subcontractors, both union and open shop, engaged in commercial, industrial and public works construction projects throughout New York State. Founded in 1974, ESSA concentrates on the business, contract and payment issues affecting all subcontractors and suppliers, regardless of specialty trade, and seeks solutions to the problems created by issues such as slow payment, excessive retainage, bid shopping, delay claims, risk shifting and unreasonable state government regulations.
