CPR Training – Building a Safer, More Prepared Team

Safety training is part of building a stronger team.

MZ Construction recently hosted a CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification class at the Fab Shop, led by instructor Amy Coleman. The hands-on training gave participants practical skills and greater confidence to respond when someone needs help.

President Andy Zombek joined Holly Reynolds, Tyler Kaelin, Derik Gibbs, Frank Sultan, Joe Carr, Hector Cordero, Travis Williams, and Beverly Hourigan for the class. Shannon Ruane was also on site to support the instructor and help organize the session.

In construction, teams need to be prepared for situations that can change quickly. Knowing how to recognize an emergency, provide immediate support, and act until professional help arrives can make an important difference. These are valuable skills on the jobsite, in the shop, at home, and throughout the community.

Stronger Together

This training is also an extension of Stronger Together, MZ’s ongoing commitment to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our team. The initiative is built on a simple belief: when we invest in our people and give them the tools to support one another, the entire crew becomes stronger.

At MZ, continued education extends beyond construction skills. Whether the focus is safety, leadership, technology, wellness, or fieldwork, every opportunity to learn helps us create a more capable and supportive workplace.

Our crew comes first.

We will continue investing in the knowledge and training that helps keep them safe, supported, and ready to respond when it counts.
